Evaluation Question 3: What Have You Learned From Your Audience Feedback?
I created a post questionnaire because I wanted to find out what my target audience thought about my final product. Therefore this questionnaire followed a series of questions that allowed me to understand whether or not my audience was satisfied with my product.

Evaluation Question 2: How Effective is the Combination of your Main Product and your Ancillary Task?
My advanced portfolio consisted of me creating a film trailer, film magazine and film poster. The film trailer was my main product and my film magazine as well as my film poster was my ancillary task. The genre of my products was Horror and the sub-genre for my product was Slasher Horror. Therefore in order to have a good combination of both my main product and ancillary, I would have to include the themes that are associated with my products and link them together. As my poster and magazine would be seen as marketing tools for my film trailer. Therefore this makes my products effective and my target audience would be intrigued by my film trailer and my other products.
Ancillary Task: My Film Poster & Other Existing Products
After analysing other existing Horror film posters, I was able to recognise the elements used in the film poster to promote it to the target audience. As Horror film posters used these codes and conventions to make the poster marketable, also the poster linked well with the other products. For example Scream 4 which has a similar genre to mine. The title of 'Scream 4' is used both in the film poster and the film trailer so that the audience would be able to recognise the masthead and these two products are linked effectively. Therefore I wanted to link all of my products so that I would able to promote my products successfully and so that my audience would be able to recognise all of my product as one. For my own film poster 'SKYE' masthead has the same typography, style and colour as my film trailer's title.

Features of My Film Poster and How It Links To My Main Product
My film poster includes many features that have been incorporated in the film trailer such as the image used as the main image. The main image of my film poster is a still image from my trailer and I decided to use this image because I wanted to link my trailer to my film poster. My audience could be intrigued by this image and it could raise questions from my audience such as 'What is the character looking at' and 'Why is she holding a candle'. Also the colour scheme of my poster is black and red and this contrasts with the candle and the bright lighting on the main protagonist. This links to the film trailer as there are many scenes in which the lighting is dark but there is a bright lightening whenever the main protagonist enters the scene.

Creation
Creating the products wasn't as difficult as distributing the products because using Adobe Photoshop, a software in which it allowed me to manipulate images and fonts that were supported by the program to create a film poster and film magazine.
Distribution
Advertising using social networking sites is a vital part of marketing as distributing my products onto YouTube, Facebook and other social networking sites can catch the audience's attention but I have personally distributed my film trailer on YouTube and Blogger in order to gain a mass audience. As I didn't have a large sum amount of money for my budget due to this being coursework for my advanced portfolio. I wasn't able to promote my film on billboards, television adverts but I had to resort to Web 2.0. However my target audience for my film ranges from 15-25. This type of audience would use the type of social networking sites I've been promoting on.
If I were to actually promote my film poster, film magazine and film trailer, I would advertise it on many marketing websites, releasing exclusive interviews with the cast. So that it would be able to create a 'media hype' and I could gain a mass audience rather then a niche audience.
Conclusion
Overall the purpose of creating a film poster and film magazine is to promote the film before the film trailer comes out. Therefore every step taken in creating the film poster and film magazine was to decided alongside my vision of the final product. I made sure that the connotation included in both products linked to the trailer I created.

Ancillary Task: Film Magazine and How It Links To My Main Product
My film magazine 'Gore' includes typical conventions of a film magazine. For example cover lines and skyline and these conventions are used to attract the audience. My Film magazine links to my main product as it includes both characters in the magazine. I included this because my audience could recognise the cast and want to watch the film as the favourite actor/actresses could be in this film.
