Basic Continuity Editing-Reflection

The Material-
We had to use different types of techniques such as shot reverse shot, match on action and 180 degree rule. We had to at least include one during our film.

The file format and using the online converter
We had to edit our video, so we had to cut out unnecessary footage and by doing that I used WMV, which is an online website that allows you to convert your video. Our video was originally were MTS. This wasn't a long process, as I've used this website before to convert a different video. It was simple, at first I clicked on browse and searched for video's and then I simply clicked on the 'convert' button and it was converted to WMV less that one minute.

Uploading the files to Window Movie Maker and Editing
This was also very simple, as all I had to do was click the import option and browse for the video's I converted. The files then loaded it's video's and was shown in the location collection. Once I finished loading the video's, I started to edit the video's. Editing became more easier for me, as I've done it before, and I got used to the simple steps.

Creating An 180 degree rule, Shot Reverse Shot and  Match On Action
We had done the shot reverse shot during the short film, Natasha, a character in the film and Tara, another character were conversing, this allowed them to create a shot reverse shot as the camera moved from one character to another. However we wasn't able to create the 180 degree rule,as its very complex, however we will try and improve it and do our best to create that for our next movie. We also created Match On Action successfully.

Over the shoulder shot-
This is a shot that gives us a characters point that includes part of the character's shoulder or the side of the head in the shot.
